Wall of Thanks

Ed Murphy was one of our wonderful volunteers who sadly last year passed away. He worked tirelessly for Foodshare, running the Sandwich run and helping in the Foodbank, the Homeless Meals and anywhere else his help was needed. Always with a friendly smile, comforting work and quick wit Ed was loved by everyone who he came into contact with. He is very much missed. Thank you so much to Ed's family who have made a very generous donation in memory of Ed towards the work he so loved doing here in Maidenhead.

Suzy Kirwood (Suzy Kirkwood Personal Estate Agents) and Sammie Phillips (Manager of Maidenhead Touch Rugby) donated funds which were used to buy fresh food for Foodshare. Sue Brett (founder of Open Kitchen) receiving the donation

Open Kitchen is entirely self-funded. Everything we do is done through the kindness and love of a great number of volunteers and supporters.

This wall lists some of people and organisations who have supported us. It is our way to thank you and to share the esteem in which we hold you with everyone who takes an interest in what we do.

Referrers
We need to be confident that the people receiving food are the people who really need it. We rely on people who have first hand knowledge of the right people. It is enormously time consuming distinguishing who needs support and helping us to get the food to them without betraying their duty of confidentiality and in dignity.
